Enhancements and updates to the Attribute application, specifically around the July 1st GA4 transition.
New Analytics: New User Sessions
After receiving valuable feedback from key users, we have incorporated a new data point into the Top Line Metrics available for GA4 Advertisers and Campaigns. This new data point, called New User Sessions, provides the number of first-time visits to a digital property within the entire campaign time period. Unlike the traditional New Ad Users metric which focuses on new visits during the attribution window, this is any and all new visits during your Attribute Campaign. If you do not see this metric available yet for your GA4 Advertisers and Campaigns, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or support@veritone.com.

Multi-Connection Advertiser Transition Date
Now that the GA4 transition date of July 1, 2023 is around the corner, we have changed the auto-apply logic for Advertiser Transition Dates. Previously for a historical UA Advertiser that added a GA4 connection, the Transition Date behavior was to apply the date as the first of the upcoming month. After the GA4 transition though we know Attribute users will want to backfill GA4 data, even if the GA4 connection was made to a UA Advertiser after July 1st. Now, the Transition Date when adding a GA4 connection to a historical UA Advertiser will always apply as July 1, 2023 to ensure this backfill of data and seamless transition to GA4.

Reporting for Disconnected Advertisers
As Google moves to deprecating the historical version of Google Analytics, called Universal Analytics (UA), our Attribute team wanted to be sure users could continue pulling reports for these Advertisers. As a result, we have incorporated the ability to access the Campaign Dashboard for Disconnected Advertisers. Navigate to the Manage Connections page, then scroll to the Disconnected Advertisers section. Identify your Advertiser and click the Campaign Dashboard icon to view the historical Campaigns created for the Disconnected Advertiser.
Note: These Campaigns cannot be edited or reprocessed, as this would affect the web data validity. All Campaigns from Disconnected Advertiser will remain in their current state.
Web Log Uploader
With the data changes applied with Google's GA4 transition, we updated our Web Analytics Uploader requirements to match. Now that traditional web data points, like Geo Location, New Users, and Channel, are no longer readily available with GA4, these elements are now optional in files with Web Analytics uploads.
