Structured data is data with well-defined fixed fields. Structured data can be stored in relational databases, is readily indexed for searching, and can use any text-based format. Currently, Veritone supports structured data written as JSON.

Structured data use cases
You can use a structured dataset as either primary data or secondary data, depending on the use case.
When you use it as primary data, the structured data is the content that you analyze using cognitive engines.
When you use it as secondary data, it enhances the primary data by correlating the two datasets using a common value from both datasets.
