Playout log uploader file requirements

Ensure your playout data is formatted correctly before using the uploader tool. Here are the supported formats.

Data requirements

Your data needs to have the following:

• CSV UTF-8
• Max file size of 10 MB

Required fields

• Advertiser 

  • Advertiser or brand name (Example: Home Depot)

  • Supported formats: text string

• Duration

  • Length in seconds or milliseconds (Example: :60)

  • Supported formats: 

    • 2:23:45 (HH:mm:ss)

    • 23:45 (mm:ss)

    • :30 (seconds)

    • 2:23:45:10 (HH:mm:ss:SS)

    • 50 (seconds (3 characters or less is seconds)

    • 4500 (milliseconds)

• Event Name

  • Description of ad, song, promo, etc. (Example: Labor Day 15% Off Lumber Sale)

  • Supported formats: text string

• Start Date 

  • Event start date (Example: 2-14-2019)

  • Supported date formats:

    • 2/14/19 (MM/DD/YY)

    • 2-14-19 (MM-DD-YY)

    • 2/14/2019 (MM/DD/YYYY)

    • 2-14-2019 (MM-DD-YYYY)

• Start Time

  • Event start time (Example: 9:12:34)

  • Supported time formats:

    • 9:12:34 

    • 9:12:34 AM 

    • 9:12:34 PM 

    • 21:12:34 

• Station

  • Station call letters and band (Example: WXYZ-FM [one column, hyphen used, no spaces] or WXYZ FM [two separate columns])

  • Supported call letter format: WXYZ

  • Supported bands: AM, FM, HD1, HD2, TV

Optional fields

• Gross Rate 

  • Gross cost of placement record (Example: 34.21)

  • Supported format: numerical (up to 2 decimal places)
