Data shared with Veritone
Veritone uses the Google Analytics Reporting API to gather advertiser data from Google Analytics. This API is specifically created by Google to help technology partners like Veritone gather Google Analytics data at scale across hundreds or thousands of clients. Each advertising partner must specifically grant Veritone access to query the Reporting API on their behalf. Please note, access to Google Analytics via this API connection can be removed at any time under the Admin profile of your account by following these steps.
Data shared from Google to Veritone
Currently, Veritone collects aggregated website visitation data (namely, user counts and sessions/visits) by minute from the Google API to correlate that activity with spot/mention data in Attribute. This currently allows our advertisers to setup campaigns in the Attribute product that will showcase attributed visitation within the specific attribution window.
Providing access to Google Analytics data
Google Analytics is easy to set up and free for small businesses. It’s beneficial for advertisers to set up Google Analytics to glean valuable, actionable insights about their audience and consumer behavior.
Once Google Analytics is connected to Veritone Attribute, campaign effectiveness can be demonstrated via reports. An NDA can be provided between advertisers and clients if needed.
Where data is stored with Veritone
Veritone uses an access-controlled relational database to store the data associated with each advertiser, as well as temporary caching services to speed up the data retrieval process in the UI. Veritone treats all customer data as confidential and is encrypted to FIPS 140-2 technology. Further, all data is limited to those with need-to-know access.
Data retention policy
Veritone retains all customer data to the limits of law or contractual agreements.
Client data security
Veritone has an established Information Security Management System (ISMS) which governs how data is treated and secured and provides assurances through regular internal and external audits.
