In some edge cases public share links generated for Discovery mentions were experiencing an error. This caused either the mention link to be inoperable, not opening a media tab in the user’s browser when clicked, or sometimes the media was simply not playable. This was found to be caused when the mentions (i.e. the Watchlist) had been deleted, so no mention and its associated media existed for viewing.
As a result our team has implemented an improved error messaging in the UI experience to inform users of this edge case
