The customer website being tracked for ad visits AND/OR the associated Google Analytics property are misconfigured. Veritone Attribute is connected successfully to the GA property, but there is some issue with the property itself or how it is configured with the customer's website. This explains why the Google Analytics admin was able to follow steps in their email invitation to establish a connection to the property, but Veritone Attribute is unable to display any data from this connected property.
  1. Copy the Advertiser's Connection Details. View Advertiser Connection Details in Veritone Attribute
  2. Contact the customer's Google Analytics admin to inform them of an issue with their Google Analytics Property and website which they connected to Veritone Attribute.
  3. Advise the admin to review the Connection Details from step 1 above, and make any necessary adjustments to resolve the issue. Occasionally, the Google Tracking ID for the Google Analytics Property is not published to the customer's website, effectively disabling all web tracking. In such cases, the admin may need to complete the process to publish their GA property to the website. Instructions to do this are available on the Google Analytics Help Center and can be found at the article linked here: Set up the Analytics Google tag.
  4. If the Google Analytics admin is able to publish the existing property correctly and they verify the Google tag is working, you should see Visit counts on the Veritone Attribute campaign dashboard.
  5. If a different Google Analytics property needs to be connected to Attribute, a new Advertiser Connection will be required:
    1. Before sending a new invitation to connect, the Attribute user should first DELETE the old Advertiser profile in Attribute.
    2. Once the old profile is deleted, create a New Advertiser and follow steps to send a fresh invitation to connect.
    3. Finally, advise the Google Analytics admin to accept the invitation and follow steps to connect the correct Google Analytics Property.
