Troubleshoot Attribute Pixel

With an Attribute Pixel-connected advertiser, the Connection Details displays updated information to assist you with any and all connection needs.

1. Check connection details. 

1. Click the megaphone icon next to the advertiser name, either on your Campaign Dashboard or on the Manage Connections page. For an overview of megaphone status colors, see Advertiser connection status overview
2. View associated connection information:
   • If the Connected data shows Not Connected, your advertising partner has not yet successfully deployed and implemented the Attribute Pixel on their site.
   • If the Connected data shows a specific date, this indicates the date the Attribute Pixel was successfully deployed to the advertisers site.
   • If your advertiser was previously connected and now is not showing active web data:
     • Check Last Activity or Hits, 7 days as this should display a recent and/or active date that aligns with your campaign dates - If it does not, your advertising partner may have removed Attribute Pixel from their site

2. Verify the advertiser has deployed Attribute Pixel. 

1. Go to the website URL intended for web data tracking.
2. Navigate to the tool bar at the top of your computer screen and choose View > Developer > JavaScript Console.
3. Select the Network tab.
4. Enter Command+R to load network data.
5. In the Filter search bar, enter the word “veritone”. You can also search for "gtm."
6. If properly deployed, a Google Tag appears.
   • In the Name column it appears as a string of letters/numbers unique the Veritone Attribute Pixel.
   • Initiator shows a Tag Manager string.
7. Click the Tag Manager string in the Initiator column.
8. Enter Command+F to open the Find function.
9. Enter “veritone” in the search bar.
10. The Pixel URL should appear in "vtp_url."
11. The Pixel ID in the URL should match the Pixel ID appearing in the advertiser's connection details within the Attribute application.
12. "vtp_useCacheBuster" should appear as true.

3. Verify domain allowlist.

If your tracking pixel has been deployed, but you are not seeing web data populate in your Attribute dashboard, make sure to allowlist the following domains:

• pixel.veritone-ce.com - hosts the javascript
• p.veritone-ce.com - hosts the pixel image

• Advertiser connection status overview
• Troubleshoot invited advertiser issues
• Troubleshoot errors and warnings

1. Check connection details.
2. Verify the advertiser has deployed Attribute Pixel.
3. Verify domain allowlist.
