Hub users who have the role of owner for the owner organization can edit the Hub instance settings for any instances they own. Host configuration information can be viewed by all users within a Hub organization that is associated with the instance.
Edit Hub instance settings
The Hub Agent Settings on the Instance Details panel on the Configuration tab can be set to enable an aiWARE instance to:
- Allow the aiWARE version to be updated from Hub Central. This setting does not automatically update the version; it only enables the updating functionality. To learn how to update an instance, see Update the aiWARE version for an instance.
- Report host status and metrics information to Hub Central.
- Promote packages that have been created or updated on the instance to Hub Central. Whether or not the packages will be available to other organizations and instances is controlled by permission settings in Veritone Developer.
- Provision packages from Hub Central to this aiWARE instance.
Each of these functions can be set for each instance.
When new aiWARE instances are created, all of these Hub instance settings are turned off by default.
Steps
- Select an instance in the aiWARE Instances table.
The Instance Detail panel opens.
- On the Configuration tab, toggle on or off one or more of the Hub Agent Settings.
- Update aiWARE version from Hub Central indicates that the version of aiWARE running on this instance can be updated.
- Report metrics to Hub Central indicates that host status and metrics information for the services running in this aiWARE instance will be reported back to Hub Central.
- Promote packages to Hub Central indicates that packages that have been created or updated on this instance can be promoted to Hub Central.
- Provision packages to this instance indicates that Hub Central can make aiWARE packages available to this instance.
- Select an Interval for the activity.
A message appears that the changes have been saved. New settings will propagate to the instance according to the selected interval time.
View the host configuration
The instance's host configuration is viewable but cannot be edited once the instance has been created.
Steps
- Select an instance in the aiWARE Instances table.
The Instance Detail panel opens.
- On the Configuration tab, on the pulldown menu, click Host Configuration.
The configuration of each host that has a server role in the instance is displayed.
