Once you have invited an advertiser, the following connection statuses may appear. 

grey status Invited

  1. Check invite expiration. GA4 and Adobe invitations will expire after 5 days. Pixel invitations do not expire. If the invite has expired, you can send a reminder to your advertiser in Attribute..

  2. If your advertiser needs instructions on connecting to Veritone Attribute, see Get started with advertiser connections.

yellow status Warning

  1. Check connection details.

  2. Monitor for 24 hours.

  3. Confirm with the advertiser that no changes were made to the website.

  4. See Troubleshoot errors and warning status.

red status Error

  1. Confirm with your client that no changes were made to the website.
  2. If using GA4: check the Advertiser GA4 tag. See Check Advertiser GA4 Tag.

  3. If using Pixel: 

    1. Check if the Pixel is live on the website. See Attribute Pixel Troubleshooting for instructions on how to check. 

    2. Confirm the Pixel was installed correctly using Google Tag Manager (GTM). See Install Google Tag Manager (advertisers).

  4. If using GBQ, see the Attribute GBQ overview.

  5. If using Adobe Analytics, see Connect using Adobe Analytics (Advertisers).

  6. If using Custom Data Load, this status is not applicable for this web connection type.

blue status Dormant

  1. Confirm whether this advertiser is using Custom Data Load.

    1. If yes, Dormant is the expected status.

    2. If no, the web connection is then not currently active due to no recent campaigns

  2. Create a new Campaign for your Advertiser. See Create a campaign.
